Weekend Edition - July 28, 2018
On this weekend edition of "Washington Watch with Tony Perkins" Director of the Office of Management and Budget and Acting Director of the Consumer Financial Protection Bureau Mick Mulvaney gave an address at the first-ever Ministerial to Advance Religious Freedom event this week and joined the show to give an inside look at some of the highlights. USCIRF Vice Chair Kristina Arriaga attended the Ministerial summit and spoke with Tony about the story of imprisoned American Pastor Andrew Brunson, who was recently moved from a Turkish jail to house arrest -- a story that was addressed in remarks by both Vice President Mike Pence and Secretary of State Mike Pompeo. Also, Senator Chuck Grassley (R-Iowa) joined Tony with the latest in the process of confirming Judge Brett Kavanaugh for the United States Supreme Court.
